Mariales Diaz ’19 Named a Sundance Ignite Fellow
Congratulations to the emerging filmmaker, one of ten named a Sundance Ignite x Adobe Fellow.

“The ten Fellows were selected for their originality of voice, creativity in storytelling, and rigor of their craft,” according to the website.
365体育投注网址 The Fellowship lasts one year and begins with a week-long Ignite Digital Filmmakers Lab. Each Fellow is also paired with a Sundance Institute alumni mentor.
Mariales Diaz ’19 is a queer, gender expansive Dominican immigrant raised in Brooklyn. They create documentaries and narratives focused on exploring human relationships, the conceptualization of the “American Dream,” and intersectionalities within identity.
365体育投注网址 Their storytellings center Black and brown trans and gender expansive folxs. Diaz is a Fall 2019 Creative Culture Valentine and Clark Emerging Artist Fellow at the Jacob Burns Film Center and a 2019 NeXtDoc Fellow.
